FAQ
What is the ideological turing test?
The Ideological Turing Test is a game where you try to tell apart genuine beliefs from convincing fakes.
Originally proposed by economist Bryan Caplan, the idea is simple: if you truly understand an opposing viewpoint, you should be able to argue for it so convincingly that even its real supporters can't tell you're faking.
Why should I care?
In today's world every social media turns into an echo chamber, where people are rarely exposed to opposing viewpoints. The Ideological Turing Test helps you test just how well you can understand and argue for different perspectives. Empirically test if your understanding of opposing beliefs is a strawman by seeing how well you score.
Are there any banned ideologies? am I safe to express any opinion?
You will not be banned for advocating anything, and even though it is called the "ideological" turing test, you can express any belief even if it does not count as an ideology, like religions for example.
