QOTD: What is the most ethical way to address the widening gap between the ultra-wealthy and the impoverished?

The gap is widening because the governments favour the rich over the poor, in a truly free market people would be even more equal than under a corrupt government that can be bribed, without governments the only gap would be the one created by truly meritocratic means.

The people earning more money deserved it, even if the "labour" is not that high, they must have done something right, came up with a great business idea, or have the leadership skills to earn them their income, there is nothing to be done about the gap.

QOTD: What is the most ethical way to address the widening gap between the ultra-wealthy and the impoverished?

Ideally we can work towards a post-capitalist system where inequality exists entirely as a consequence of how much labour you are willing to do, Jeff Bezos is not working hard enough to deserve the salary of 10 doctors, we need to get rid of practices like usury and charging interest.

Taxes work to slow down the inevitable increase in the wealth gap but they are only a band-aid patch that is not a long term solution.
